The full moon in Scorpio will reach its peak on the 1st of May and illuminate some untapped resources and reveal hidden pathways on how you can deeply satisfy your adventurous spirit, including your deepest passions and longings of the Soul.

The Moon represents the female principle of consciousnes – Full Moon

The term Blue Moon refers to the second full moon in the same month. When people say “once in a blue moon”, they are speaking about this rare occurrence.

A Blue Moon is an infrequent celestial event and a highly auspicious time that holds extra power for renewal, spiritual evolution, transformation, sudden realisations, serendipitous events and healing, and a rare chance to make your dreams come true.

Blue Moon are sometimes referred to as “wild card moon” as they bring unpredictable but immenselely positive energies.

What colour is a blue moon?

Blue moons are not blue. Blue moons remain the same colour as any other full moon except in two rare cases. During a lunar eclipse, the Moon can turn blood red, lit only by the light that is bent around the Earth by its atmosphere onto the face of the Moon. As lunar eclipses occur only during full moons, and blue moons are one type of full moon, very rarely a blue moon turn red.

In extremely rare circumstances, the Moon can appear blue, e.g.  when you look at the moon through a haze of dust particles can can be present from a recent volcanic eruption for example. 

How often does a blue moon occur?

Normally blue moons come only about every two or three years. 

You will most likely notice at the peak of the Blue Moon that your intuition, creativity, imagination, connection to the universe and spiritual gifts are heighened, and you will therefore find it much easier to realise even those goals during a Blue Moon that seemed to be out of reach up so far.

In astrology, a blue moon is seen as a unique occurrence because it represents an unusual event that disrupts the regular lunar cycle. A blue moon can also highlight areas where we must let go or make changes.

From the scientifical point of view we are aware that the moon governs the ebb, flow and the tides. This applies especially during a full and a new moon when the moon falls in line with the earth and the sun which increases the gravitational force. Just like the moon changes its form our moods and feelings change and some people can find it challenging to deal with the highly charged energy of the full moon.
